TRiO Book & Technology Loan Program

The book and technology loan program was created to facilitate your college educational needs by loaning out textbooks and technology for the quarter.

Book Loan

The book loan program is designed on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to our TRiO Student Support Services students. Our library has textbooks in English, Math, Biology and other subjects. Since we have a limited supply of books, we will not be able to meet all requests.

The process of checking out a book is simple:

  1. Check out book availability in our library here.
  2. Complete a short, required orientation about the book loan process.
  3. Complete a Book Loan Agreement (during orientation).
  4. Check out the book for the quarter.
  5. Complete a Returned Book Sign-off after the book is returned.

The book has to be returned no later than the last day of the quarter. There is no charge for borrowing a book. However, student is completely liable and responsible for any damages/loss of book. The Highline College Library is now able to mail print books and DVDs from their collection to students. Please use this Google doc about how to request a book or DVD.

Technology Loan

Please review the book/tech list and then contact Blia (bxiong@highline.edu) directly to schedule an appointment for pick-up or drop-off.

If you need to borrow a TRiO Chromebook, please email Blia at bxiong@highline.edu to request a loan. Students will then schedule an appointment to pick up the Chromebook from IT (Bldg. 30).

Students will need to submit a Computer Hardware – Short Term Checkout request through the Helpdesk website.
